Hungry? Eat the rich, they are the worst

I've seen more that would scare them to death than they have

I could feel a Thunderstorm coming

my knees had started to ache

the thunder, lightning and rain

was on its way, if it hadn't already came

I decided to go outside

The sky was black as night

the birds were no longer in sign

the trees had begun to shake

as the wind picked up

the leaves were being blown about

I could feel the boom of the thunder hit

as I was standing on my deck

and I felt the vibration

The rain started pouring down quickly

huge raindrops pounding against the ground

I could feel them on my shoe

They felt like needles jabbing my foot

WON'T WAKE UP

I woke up one morning and found that everyone in my house was still asleep and wouldn't wake up. Only it wasn't just my house. It was the whole world. I decided to hop online and see if anyone else was awake. I find on new post titled, "Anyone Else Awake". It had 3 comments. The first comment said, "What is happening? Why isn't anyone waking up?". The second comment said, "What happened to the world? The news stations are out, nothing is being broadcasted. I looked out the window and there is no sign of movement. None of the neighbors have left their houses". The third comment said, "Are we the only ones alive? No one will wake up". I commented, "I think whatever happened last night has killed everyone in their sleep. We're the only ones left".

I see shadows dancing on the pavement
could they be shadows of the ghosts
who are still attached to this building
that haven't moved on?
Off in the distance
the sound of a train horn can be heard
I see the squirrels come running up
to eat the peanuts i left for them
The birds fly up and land on the branches
waiting for the squirrels to leave
so they can eat their birdseed and sunflower seeds i put out for them
I stand in the sun and puff my cigarette
The sun is warm against my skin
And than the wind blows sending a cold chill down my spine
I stand outside up on the mountain top at my mountain home
I stand outside enjoying nature
my mountain home
