Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center Foundation
I'm writing a recommendation because they helped change my life forever, it changed for the better and they can help you too. They do great things for people with disabilities, disabilities of all kinds. I'm an Army Veteran and I think its great that WWRC participates and offers "The Wounded Warrior Project" at their center. The Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center Foundation is a wonderful organization that supports the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center, its students and many others. I was enrolled in the Web Design Course at WWRC which I was a student there. I completed my course and graduated with a Web Design Certificate. Graduation Day for me was so amazing and so memorable because Commissioner Jim Rothrock was in attendance at my graduation and also on stage when I received my certificate. What made it memorable for me was after I received my certificate and was walking across the stage to go sit down, Comissioner Rothrock stopped me and gave me a huge and congratulated me. At that moment, I felt proud of myself and knew he was proud of me as well, that's what made it memorable for me. I was also the Student Government Association President and active in many other things while living on campus and I got involved in any campus activities I could. Attending WWRC changed my life for the better, it has changed my life forever. They helped me in so many ways and I'm grateful for that. By being chosen as the SGA President by WWRC and its students, that helped me overcome my fear of Public Speaking, which is something I had always had a fear of. I would stand in front of the Students & Staff for our monthly meetings and talk to them and I was finally over my fear of doing so. I no longer have a problem with speaing in public, or in large crowds, or in front pf people, all thanks to WWRC and SGA. I'm thankful and also very grateful to WWRC, the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center Foundation, the Department of Rehabilitative Services and everyone else who helped me during my time at WWRC. I thank them for everything they did for me and all the opportunities I was given by them while I was a student. And that's why I recommend the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center Foundation and encourage everyone to support them and get involved. If you want to help make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities you can get involved, support and help the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation center Foundation continue to help others with disabilities like they helped me.
