Better Day

So today was a better day then Thursday and Friday. Lack of aleep made those days horrible. But I slept last night and went to bed early and slept good. Jen fell asleep on the couch, I woke her up to go to bed but she disn't wake up. I noticed she later came in there cos she was next to me. Man when my alarm went off this morning I didn't want to get up, I just wanted to keep sleeping. Especially since I had been awake from Thursday morning to Friday night without sleep. I don't wanna do that again at all.

Getting ready to mop and sweep the house. Trying to stay motivated to clean my house while Jen is at work and I am bored without her here.

The Notre Dame game was on it just went off I don't know who won cos I wasn't paying that much attention to it. Tennessee game should be coming on and I still haven't checked to see what channel its coming on. I think I might check the guide or call dad and ask him.

Randomness

The wifi on my back porch is being sketchy. I am going to have to check the antenna on the router. Grr.

So one of my coworkers has an upper respiratory infection. I am so not trying to get sick so I am glad she won't be at work. I am trying to avoid getting sick this year. Jen has already gotten sick. She has or still has Pneumonia.

So Saturday Tennessee lost to Alabama 45 to 10. Of course Alabama is ranked #1 I believe. And Virginia Tech lost to Duke but I don't remember the score. Tennessee plays Missouri this Saturday so I will be able to watch the game cos it comes on at 7 dad said.

Daily Writing Prompt: Favorite Holidays

I have a couple favorite holidays and my birthday is considered a holiday to me. So my birthday is one of my favorite holidays. Growing up when I was a kid I never celebrated my birthday because my mom is a jehovah witness and they dont celebrate birthdays. I don't know why they don't but they just do not. Your birthday is a celebration of your life and that's something to celebrate. So I don't see why they wouldn't celebrate it. So I never celebrated my birthday until I was 21. At that time I was living in an apartment in Waynesboro and was working at Alcoa. Jennifer Wimer gave me a kitten for my birthday that year and I named him Harry Potter because well Harry Potter was popular then and had just come out and I was obsessed with Harry Potter. Harry was an adorable kitten and I loved him dearly. My birthday cake had Harry Potter on it. He was flying on a broom and smoking a joint and the cake said Harry Potsmoker. Lol it was the thing at the time of my life that I did. Jennifer Wimer came over to celebrate with me that year and we had fun. I have celebrated my birthday every year ever since then. This year for my birthday we went to Bush Gardens because thats where I wanted to go because they have the Germany part of Bush Gardens and Oktoberfest. I had a lot of fun but it would have been better if it had been just Jen and I and it wasn't. But I did have fun and next year I plan on having an even better birthday then this year. I'm not sure what my plans are for next year but we will see as the time comes near.
My next favorite holiday is Christmas because that is a time of the year that is happy and joyful and you get to spend time with tour family and loved ones. Its such a joyous time of the year. After I atteneded WWRC I always celebrated Christmas at my house and I always invited Bear, Scoop and Eric and cooked food and we all sat around talking and eating and just having a good time. Since Jen and I have been together we celebrate Christmas wirh her family. Christmas 2011 was the last Christmas I got to spend with Grandma Collins and I am glad I got to spend it with her because she died a couple days before my birthday in April 2012. Every year Jen and I go to her grandparents to eat Christmas breakfast and then we all open up presents and take pictures. Its a nice happy time and its nice to be surrounded by family. My parents because they are Jehovahs Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas. I believe Jehovahs Witnesses don't celebrate Christmas because it has to do with Christ. I learned why growing up but I don't remember. Every Christmas I play Christmas music and make my house smell good with Christmas scents. This year I think I will cook up something for Christmas since I like to cook. Those are my favorite holidays and my favorite season of the year is Summer because its nice and warm and hot. I don't like being cold at all. So I love Summer because its warm outside and you can do so much more  lin the Summer. I don't swim but Jen and I and her grandmother always go to Sherando Lake every summer and they swim. I did get in the water this year though. We saw a little baby turtle this year at Sherando Lake. It was so cute and adorable and so small. I also love Summer because that's the best time to go on vacation. Jen and I go to Tennessee a lot. My parents own property down there so Jen and I go and check on the property. Hopefully this year we get to go to Tennessee because we want to go to Dollywood next year. This year we didn't get to go on vacation so we just stayed home plus Jen didn't get vacation time cos she had just started. So this year we want to go to Dollywood. I was thinking of staying in a cabin. They have a package deal on the cabin with Dollywood tickets so thats what we are probably gonna do.

My Day So Far

Had a good day but my mouth is still hurting. I had the day off but went into work to do paperwork. Then I came to my parents house for a bit and worked on my online courses Im taking. Then I went and met up with my boss April and we got tattoos together. I got my poetry tattoo I wanted. My tattoos say a lot about me and who I am.
At my parents for now then off to my house I go. I bet my dogs are missing me right now. Jen is home because she has to work 3rd shift and she is sick. Man I hope she doesn't get me sick. That's all I need is to be sick and have my mouth be in pain all at the same time. I hope she took the Coriceden and gets better because I am not trying to get sick. Plus if I get sick then I will probably get my coworkers sick and it will be like last year where we all spread it back and forth. Not a fun thing at all. I hate being in pain and being sick. I went to Starbucks and got me my Cafe Mocha with whipped cream. Man it was good. So far today has been a good day. Kind of a lazy day because its raining outside and has been all day since I woke up this morning so I am just relaxing today. I did work some on my 2 online courses that I am taking. I am taking an IT Skills Course and a Web Design Course online. I recently completed my course on Google's Blogger. I completed the course and can get a certificate for completing it but you have to pay for it and I have to wait until I have the money for it. I love the feeling of completing something, it feels so good. My mood has been good lately not up and down like it was before. So this week has been an up kind of week thankfully. I don't like it when my Bipolar is down, I feel miserable then. Thankfully this week has been a good one. I just hope next week is as good. I don't like the low points of my Bipolar Disorder. I hope everyone has a great rest of the day and a great rest of the weekend. I have to work tomorrow but with this weather here lately raining everyday I have a feeling we're going to be slow tomorrow at work. Sunday is slow anyway but with the rain it makes people not want to come out of the house. Of course I will have my usual people traveling down the interstate and my regulars. Oh well if its slow I can get stuff done. Man my mouth hurts and smoking probably isn't helping it get better. I need to quit smoking but its so hard. I stopped smoking for 2 weeks then started again. I kind of wished I had never started again. I'd have so much money if I didn't smoke. Oh well. So the food stamp machine at work wasn't working. A customer couldn't get what she wanted because her card wasn't working. We thought it was because of the government shutdown but apparently there was a glitch in the system and that's why it wasn't working. This whole government shutdown has gotten crazy. I hope the people in Congress and the White House get their shit together and get the government back up and running because this has caused a lot of problems. You can't even visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park now because of the shutdown. The campers there were told to leave because of the shutdown. Now people are going to miss the changing of the colors on the leaves and they will miss the beauty in the parks and the animals. The Park Rangers were furloughed, whatever that means. I just know that I hope the government wakes up and gets shit together because things are starting to get ridiculous.
My dad is watching a football game on tv and a football game on his tablet, lol he is multi tasking. I think he is watching James Madison University play which is rare because they hardly ever put the JMU games on tv. I guess they aren't that popular enough to show the game on tv. However one time they beat the Hokies and that was epic. That made them more popular I suppose because the Hokies are a good team and well everyone or almost everyone in Virginia is a Hokies fan. Not me though, I am a Tennessee Volunteers fan. I like all Tennessee Vols sports. Vols football, Vols Soccer, Vols Softball. I am a huge Tennessee Vols fan and so is my dad. My dad grew up in Townsend, TN and I grew up there when I was a kid. Well I am sitting here rambling on, time to get up I guess and go smoke a cigarette then head home shortly. Wow I guess the lack of someone to talk to makes me write more. haha. Have a great day everyone and enjoy the weekend while it lasts.
