Motivation & Goals

Motivation & a Goal

"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal" - Henry Ford

5 Things To Do To Reach Your Goal
  1. Set goal
  2. Make plan
  3. Get to work
  4. Stick to it
  5. Reach goal

Obstacles are things we see when we take our eyes off the goal. Remember, a goal without a plan is just a wish. Set your mind for success. Find what motivates you to achieve your goals. When you know what you want, and you want it bad enough, you'll find a way to get it. The most important thing about motivation is goal setting.. You should always have a goal. Giving up on your goal because of one setback is like slashing your other three tires because you got one flat.

How To Achieve Your Goal
  • Define it
  • Want it
  • Believe it
  • Write it down
  • Split it up
  • Review it
  • Schedule it
  • Do it
One of the biggest challenges in meeting any goal, whether it be related to productivity, waking early, changing a habit, exercising, or just becoming happier, is finding the motivation to stick with it.

If you can stick with a goal for long enough, you'll almost always get there eventually. It just takes patience, and motivation.

Motivation is the key, but it's not always easy, day in and day out, to find that motivation.

Don't wait until you've reached your goal to be proud of yourself. Be proud of every step you take toward reaching that goal. The greatest danger is not that we aim too high and we miss it, but we aim too low and reach it.

Goal Setting Theory
Goals Need To Be:
  • Specific
  • Difficult
Goals Motivate By:
  • Directing attention
  • Encouraging effort
  • Encouraging persistence
  • Fostering goal-attainment strategies and action plans
GOALS ARE NOT TO-DOS, THEY ARE A VISION OF YOUR DREAMS!!!

If the plan doesn't work, change the plan. But never the goal!!

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday. You are never to old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
