Pray With Charleston

Let's all pray with Charleston.

"You must not take vengeance nor hold a grudge against the sons of your people, and you must love your fellow man as yourself" - Leviticus 19:18

I don't know much about what has happened in Charleston other then what news articles I have read about the situation. It is a very tragic event that has happened unnecessarily. I don't know anything about the boy who did it other than that he was racist according to one article I read. It was strange, I saw a photo of him and in the photo he was wearing some sort of jacket and he had patches on his jacket. I zoomed in on the photo and noticed one of the patches was the African flag sewed to his jacket. That kind of dumb founded me. Why, if you're racist against one culture would you have their flag for their country sewn onto your jacket? Or was that a sign and should have been a warning? Maybe it's time we start looking around us for signs. We shouldn't have to walk on egg shells around people but be aware of the signs that are around you.

Those people surely did not deserve to die. They were brothers and sisters of God. They did God's work and helped all God's children. Surely if the boy had asked for help one of God's disciples would have helped him. Like I said, I am not sure what motivated and possessed the boy to do what he did other than if I am correct according to the article that he was racist and those he murdered were all of african american descent. Its such a shame that others have to lose their lives to ignorance and because of hate for another.

You are not born with hate inside you. When we are born, we are colorblind. Hate is something that is taught to us as we grow up. BUT,  even if we are taught to hate that doesn't mean we have to hate others. That is just an excuse. For example, say your father is a racist, he teaches you to hate a certain race, that doesn't mean as you grow up and go into adulthood that you have to also hate that certain race. Racism is taught, you are not born with it. A racist however shall breed a racist but like I said before, you don't have to follow in those footsteps. You can stand up for others & not hate against them. God wants us to love everyone. God didn't create us to hate each other or kill each other. God created us to be equals. We all fight our own demons inside but we don't have to let the devil win us over. Some choose to let the devil win, I choose not too. What do you choose?

1 John 3:15 says "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer; and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him".

I believe this young man's soul can be saved if he chooses to turn to God and Jesus Christ for forgiveness of his sins. However that cannot undo the damage and hurt and pain he has caused. I pray with Charleston on their loss and this sad time they are going through. Let us all remember that the devil has won this time but we must keep fighting the devil so he shall not win against us. The devil is strong right now but we must pray to God for forgiveness of our sins and pray to him to help lead us on our journey and destination. Let us feel the holy spirit within us and may God watch over those in Charleston that lost loved ones and friends.

Dear God,
Please send angels to Charleston to watch over the brothers and sisters there suffering through a terrible loss right now. Please give them the strength and the courage to go on with their lives but never forget their loved ones who have gone up to heaven with you. We know they are in your hands now as you called them up to be with you. Please help them rebuild their lives from this point and always remember their loved ones who they have lost.
Through Jesus Christ Name
AMEN
