Daily Writing Ptompt: God

I'm not really a religious person but I do believe in God. I respect if you don't. I'm not a bible thumper. I grew up a Jehovah Witness. My parents were Jehovah Witnsesses. Over time my dad stopped going to the Kingdom Hall and believing. My mom is still a Jehovah Witness and so are so my family on my Dad's side. Growing up we didn't celebrate holidays, none at all. They celebrate their wedding anniversary and that's about all. No celebrating Christmas or Birthdays or anything. I missed out on celebrating holidays growing up. But, I always got what I want so it was always like Christmas every day instead of just getting what I want on one day. Yes my sister and I were spoiled but we never did without. When I was in the Army in 2004 I got baptized Mormon, Jesus Christ Of the Latter Day Saints. I visited the church on base with my battle buddies and liked the church and decided to get baptized. Like I said I am not a very religious person but I do believe in God. Miracles have happened in my life that I can't explain and so I say the only explanation is God's work. God had a hand in that and he saved me many times. You can believe or not, that is up to you.

The Government

With this government shutdown has come a lot of bad things. The National Parks have closed, now people can't enjoy the fall leaves and the colors in the Blue Ridge Parkway or Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Campers were asked to leave at the Great Smoky Mountain National Parks. It appears Food Stamps have been cut off as well. I got a call today from my boss saying that the cashier on duty right now, Cheryl had called her. April said that Cheryl had called her and said that a girl tried to use her food stamp card at the Food Lion and it didn't work so she came to our store and her food stamp card didn't work at our store either. Apparently the machine wouldn't work at either place. So it appears food stamps have been cut off. I am afraid that I will not get my Veteran's Disability Check in November. I hope I do because that check pays my rent, I can't pay my rent which is $850 with my paycheck because I don't make that much. What the hell has happened to our government. This is fucking ridiculous. Congress and whoever at the white house need to get their heads out of their asses and get shit running again. I don't want to be homeless, I have animals. I could go live with my parents but what would happen to my animals ya know. I hope everything will get straightened out and be okay but I worry about it. We should be worrying about our future. Yes a lot of people rely too much on the government but I guess we kinda need the government. I earned my VA Benefits, I did my time in the Army and served this country. I am not just on VA Disability, I have a job and I work. I pay taxes and pay into Social Security, I pay state taxes. I am a working citizen. Life is becoming hard though. This economy is going downhill and now the government has shut down causing all kinds of problems. This is just crazy. What has the world come to? Some people are saying this is the end of the world, but who knows. Does the government not realize people will resort to Anarchy unless Anarchy has already erupted. I guess all I can do is pray to God that things will be okay and leave it in God's hands.

God's Gift

Men think they are God's Gift to women. In reality this is wrong. Women are God's Gift to men. Without women there would be np procreation, no babies and really no life. Life would not go on. Men need women to have babies. God gave Adam gifts. Women being one of the gifts. God gave him the lakes, the oceans, the mammals, the trees, and women. Women are God's gift to men. Like the saying goes, "men are from mars, women are from venus." This is so true. There are lists od why men are a pain. Men thinking they are God's gift to women. Most of those men are egotistical, cocky, arrogant, and rude. They hold themselves high above others. I think they are lacking something in their life. Maybe this is why most of the men are single. Men who think they are God's gift to women are most likely single or at least they will be eventually. The women these men pick usually have low self esteem. They aren't very confident at all. These women have most likely been abused in some form or another.

The Westboro Baptist Church

As you all might know I am a YouTubber. I am subscribed to the OMFGitsjustin YouTube channel. Justin has three videos on there of protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church. If you are GLBT than I'm sure you know who they are. First I would like to say, what is wrong with those people? They say we aren't teaching our children the truth because we aren't teaching them whats in the bible. Okay so they are teaching their children to hate everyone? Does that make sense to you? It doesn't to me. And another thing I want to know. Did God tell them that he hates everyone? I had never heard that God hates everyone until tonight when I heard it out of their mouths. That is absurd. I mean come on now, if God hated everyone than why would he create them? Doesn't make sense to me. And their website is WWW.godhatesfags.com and until tonight I thought that just meant that God supposedly just hated GLBT people. Apparently according to one of the members from Westboro, anyone can be a "fag" which is known as a bundle of sticks and has some reference to going to hell. Those people look like idiots, they are foolish, they are much hated by many many people. I mean what I want to know is why are they telling everyone that God hates everyone? Wouldn't that mean that God hates them too? So if God hates everyone and that would include them than why are they out there holding signs speaking up for God if he hates them? Does that make sense? Not to me. Maybe they are just bored. I wonder what they do for a living. Maybe they just go around the country preaching the fact that God supposedly hates everyone. On another note, tonight is the first time I have ever heard of President Obama being referred to as the Antichrist. I wonder why they consider him the Antichrist. Humm. That is a good question.

Well, I checked out their website and I found that they are preaching hate really. It seems like they are a cult or something. I mean teaching hate and prejudice. In my honest opinion, I think they are the Antichrist. I mean come on, really. Where have you ever heard that God preached about hating others? I've never heard of it until now. What I've been told by my parents and what I've read in the bible is that God loved all. God preached about love and taught love among his children.

After watching the video I would really love to go to one of there protests or pickets as they call it. I'm going to have to pick up my bible and find in there where it says God hates fags. I'll probably be looking forever because I'm pretty sure it doesn't say that in there anywhere.
