I build shrines for the legacies of our mothers.
I sing songs of hope for the destinies of our daughters.
I weep with my sisters, for the ways of this world.
But each moment is an infinite now,
a pregnant possibility.
We lack nothing, except
perhaps, the courage of solidarity.
How do we get from here to there?
From where we are to where we want to be?
By building shrines for the legacies of our mothers,
by singing songs of hope for the destinies of our daughters,
and by believing
with all of our sisters
in the power of now.
